this is my first time there lunching @ Peach Garden since they first open. i must say i am very impressed with the quality of the food and is really yummy!

the place is very beautiful and you see trees in the restaurant itself! so you get to enjoy the greenery at the same time dinning at the restaurant. The price of the food is a little steep cos the servings is really small.

the fried mee pok is really good. generous with prawns except small servings.

i prefer the bitter gourd bean paste fish bee hoon cos the bee hoon is really well cook. the way how is cooked is “mun” (something like stewed). so the bee hoon is really soft and yummy! the bitter gourd doesnt taste bitter at all! and LL loves it more than his mee pok haha. he always find my food taste better than his..lol

deep fried prawn wrap and steam bak ku..their dim sum is really good! i love their dim sum very much!

overall the food is really gd except for the small quantity. i would definitely go back there again for more!

last but not least, here is a picture of the mighty trees in the rain lol.

Dim sum has become one of my fav food (other than steamboat and also Ramen) lol. we do occasionally go yumcha during weekends. good dim sum in Singapore is really hard to find especially i benchmark them against those i had in Hongkong and Macau.  Yan Palace is one of the restaurant that we usually go for dim sum. u actually need to call to book as the place is usually pack. if you are walk-in customers, u probably need to wait for 10-20 mins (longest i waited).

the price of the dim sum is very reasonable and the bill for the day is 90 bucks for 3 pax. so on average is 30 bucks per pax.

other than dim sum, they also got side dishes, their pig trotters in vinegar is really gd! i love it. according to LL, it is a Hakka delicacy? oooo..i must learn how to cook them lo. yumz

other dim sum dishes we had

their century egg porridge is really good! even a non-century egg taker will not giv this amiss lo

siew mai. stuffed with pork.

crispy prawn roll. this is a must everytime we go dim sum lo.

har gao. prawn dumpling. my favourite! the skin is not thick n soggy. just nice.

handmade chee cheong fun. we will never forget to order this! a must for dim sum! comes with scallops / prawns / char siew!

prawn salad with fruits – i love this! i love the assorted fruits that comes with it. taste wonderful with mayo.

deep fried prawn dumplings

another one of my fav. the mango n prawn…yum

chicken feet lol. very nice. my fav too

paper wrapped chicken

deep fried yam balls with almonds nuts

this is the steam version of the prawn roll

my super fav – custard bun..drool

carrot cake. steamed. i prefer those with eggs one lol..

dumplings with chives filling

well, if you are near chinatown, do pop by and try out their dim sum or give them a call to make reservations! =)

the set comes with 1 sharkfin soup, the abalone, the braised goose feet ( i love this), meat wrap with yam, lotus leave wrapped rice, egg tarts, sago desert..hehe..really value for money.

after having a full late lunch, we headed down to the casino for “battle”. tough fight. we did win some battles before we have our dinner. this time we uses the coupon we got from our purchase of the 200 bucks chips. the restaurant is situated in the casino itself and is western food, we can choose the steak / chicken chop / fish & chips. comes with free flow of milestone soup and salad.

the food is ok and its free so …

of yum cha in old Hongkong style

dim sum anyone? like many others, i am a crazy fan of dim sum and the best dim sum i ever had are those that i had in Hong kong. and here, i cant find any that match that standard so far lolx. however to curb my cravings, anything is good ya? Hong xin, the famous dim sum restaurant. the place where they serve dim sum  like typical Hong kong style. waitress will push dim sum carts around and u just pick your choice.

very hong kong feel. hiaz. the food is so so only. not as nice as before. =(. and i feel the price is slightly steep too.

this is not related to food but my new pair of shoes haha…hope it wont spoil your appetite haha lolx

i love to eat and i love my PEN
